My Grandma

My Grandma Ivins is one of my favorite people in this world. This weekend she is celebrating her birthday. I thought this would be a great opportunity to tell all of you (who don't already know) how wonderful this lady is. I have was blessed to be raised by parents who knew the importance of staying close to your family. My Grandparents were always invited to everything. I don't remember an important event in my life when my Grandma wasn't there. My birth, blessing, baptism, birthdays, holidays, my wedding, my children's births, my kids blessings, and now she even has to suffer through my kids birthday parties and Family Home Evenings because they wouldn't be complete without her. You can see from these pictures that she is a HUGE part of my life. As I've gotten older I have grown to love her sense of humor. She is so funny. I also LOVE when I can get any parenting advice. She did an amazing job with her six children and if I can be anything like her I think I will be OK. Her advice about marriage is great too. She has saved Trevor from some really big blowups because she reminds me how men and women are so different and I need to let some things just pass.
Grandma, I am sorry you have to sit in my house with all 12 of the grandkids running around screaming just because Luke HAS to have you there, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's just not a party without you. We love you so much Grandma and I apologize in advance for the Harry Potter glasses Luke has already bought for you to wear at his Birthday Party. Happy Birthday Grandma, I love you!

Still laughing from Nick's comment. Grandma is pretty cool though. Sarah is right. Grandma is the best. She always has great advice. And she always puts up with our crazy kids with a smile on her face. There are few things better than sittng on her couch and talking one on one with her. Love you grandma.
