Just another CRAZY couple of weeks!

The past couple of weeks have just gotten away from me. We've been busy around here. Here's a little (O.K., long) update...
First, and certainly most important, Happy Birthday Trevor! My hot husband turns 31 today. We had a great day. Trevor knows that it is a tradition that I make him breakfast on his birthday so when I got in the shower this morning he ran downstairs and made breakfast for me instead. I know, he is the best. We then got a babysitter and went to the movie and did some shopping. It was great to just be together. When we got back he and the boys hung up the Christmas lights while I cooked the pizza for his party. Some of our family came over for pizza and cake, it was fun to see everyone.

I hope you had a great birthday Trev! You are the best husband in the world! I love you so much.

Here are the boys hanging up the Christmas lights. Luke and D.J. were very excited to be on the roof.

We had a great Thanksgiving in St. George this year. My family decided to have it at our condo this year so we packed up all 25 of us and headed down south. Half of us stayed at the West family condo (Thank you Bob & Nancy) and the rest stayed at our condo. The men went down 5 days earlier than us and golfed. Nick won the tournament for the 3rd time. I had great pictures of our awesome vacation but guess who lost her memory card from her camera? Yep, me! I am so sad. Just trust me that it was a lot of fun.
Some of the highlights...
Watching the kids Thanksgiving performance
Eating lots of yummy food
Playing games
Going to the movies twice (even if one of them was Twilight)
Staying up all night long on Thanksgiving shopping. Not one wink of sleep!
Spending time with my awesome family
Seeing my friend Danalyn :) Thanks for taking our pictures. It was great to see you.

Hopefully I will find my memory card soon and I can add some pictures. The picture of Nick with his trophy, HUGE check, and green jacket (from the D.I.) is hilarious!

On December 1st me and the kids delivered all the snack sacks to the food bank. The grand total was...503 bags! I am so excited that we were able to make so many bags to help our community. Our family learned so much from this opportunity. We couldn't have done it without so many of you that were so generous and helpful.
Thank you...

To the awesome Young Women in my old ward in Spanish Fork. They collected items from ward members and assembled 100 bags. You girls ROCK!

To my amazing cousin Joanna and her activity day girls! They assembled bags for an activity. They had the cutest decorated bags ever, I'm sure some little kids will be very happy when they get one of their bags.

My sister Harmony donated enough items to fill 63 bags and my niece Autumn had her elementary school class in Highland assembled them. I know Autumn was excited to share this service project with her class. She is always a great helper whenever we do a service project.
Harmony is also an Activity Days leader in her ward and her girls made bags as well. Thanks Harmony, you are always willing to help me with anything! Your the best!

My sweet cousin Kimber donated TONS of capri suns, and granola bars.

My sister-in-law Nicole gave me money that went towards completing the last 60 bags we filled.
I came home one day to find Capri Suns sitting on my porch, it turned out to be from my good friend Megan (BFC Rocks). Your a sweetheart Mags!

My Mom donated so many items I actually lost count. Your the greatest Mom!

My Dad spent countless hours helping me decorated bags and fill them. Thanks for keeping me company Dad!

A sweet Young Woman in my ward decorated 60 bags for me in one day. She is an awesome artist, thanks so much Jenya.

My Aunt Cathy is so giving. If I could be half as generous as her I would be a saint. She bought bags and bags of candy for this project. I was even able to donate some to my ward here in Cedar Hills who made 100 bags for the food bank. (Those 100 aren't included in our grand total)

Seriously, this list could go on and on so if I missed you I am so sorry...

I hope you all know how much I appreciate your help. My family learned so much during this project and I am so grateful for your wonderful example of kindness and love you showed my children. They were amazed at how many bags we were able to finish. As we drove away from the food bank D.J. told me he felt warm inside. Knowing that he felt the spirit makes all the work worthwhile.

Here is D.J. pushing in one of the carts full of snack sacks.

The kids were very excited to load the car and take them to the food bank. Well, Libby wasn't too excited as you can see, but the boys were.

Last Friday I was lucky enough,(please hear the sarcasm in my voice) to get braces. Oh yeah, way fun. Braces are the latest thing we are trying to fix my jaw. I pray it works. My jaw hurts so bad lately. I almost cry every time I sneeze because I feel like it's breaking. All I can say is BRACES STINK and it's going to be a long 2 years. Flossing has become a chore. It takes me almost 30 minutes, I don't see it happening very often. I would post a picture of me with these beauties but, I won't. Just trust me, they are soooo not cute.

And last, here is an update on the kids...

D.J. had a choir performance on Friday that was hysterical. Here is a video clip of it.

At first Trevor and I couldn't figure out what he was doing but then after a moment of humiliation I realized he had to use the bathroom, BAD! We were laughing so hard, with half the audience I might add. This was a classic D.J. moment.
D.J. has been asking for a DS for Christmas. I keep telling him it isn't going to happen but he keeps asking. After a couple of weeks of this I told him not to ask for a DS one more time. I then told him that if he could earn and save $50.00 I would pay for the rest of it and buy him one. Remember, this is a boy who HATES to work and can't save money at all. If he has a dollar he wants to spend it that second. Needless to say, I wasn't worried. I knew that it would never come down to me buying one for him. About 5 minutes after our conversation he came back in the kitchen and said he knew what he wanted for Christmas...$50.00. Seriously, he is too smart. I couldn't even hold back the laughter. I then told him "no" and sent him on his way.

Luke is staying busy in school. He has decided it is fun even if there isn't a T.V. there. Here is a picture of him and Everett in their Thanksgiving costumes, and a picture of the gingerbread house he made on Friday. The gingerbread house that was beautiful until Libby found it and ate it. There were lots of tears because of that.

Libby is growing into a busy little Toddler. She can now say "Mommy" and "Daddy" very clearly, it is so cute. The other morning she found her snow hat and decided she wanted to wear it. I watched her try and put it on, it took a while but eventually she got it. After that it was off and on, off and on, off and on, all morning.

Your Thanksgiving sound so fun! I really hope you find your memory card, I know how bad it sucks when you take cute pictures and then loose them.
That's awesome that you got so many bags put together, you are so nice to mention my little donation. Thanks.
As soon as you know about the 18th let me know, and we will figure it out from there.
Take care, and enjoy your braces...that sucks!!

I thought I was never going to stop scrolling down. That is a huge post. HE HE HE. Looks like you have been busy. Sorry about your memory card that sucks. I can't believe you have braces. I had them for a year and I didn't like them either. It will be worth it in the end. Hang in there. So just wondering about if we are going to get together this month and when is it my turn. Talk to you later.

I love the video of DJ that is a classic.
Sorry to hear about the braces I hope it helps your jaw. Having braces as an adult is awful, I still have mine on and it's been 4 years they told me maybe next month I will get them off (crossing my fingers).
that's awesome how many bags you made.
