Everett's Wish was granted...

As some of you know, my 4 year old nephew Everett was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. He has been doing remarkable well and his body is responding great to the treatment. Although it has been a rough year with lots of medicine, shots, chemo, and sick days there have been some good days as well. Saturday was one of those days. Saturday morning we were able to go to the Make A Wish house in Salt Lake and see my nephew Everett's wish be granted. He loves to go camping and all he wanted was his very own fire pit for his backyard. The sweet people at Make A Wish granted his wish and threw in a new pop-up trailer so his family could go camping more. He was very excited. They also threw him a little birthday party because his birthday is February 2nd. When we arrived there they took all the kids in a room decorated for a party and did little crafts with them.

After some crafts we went upstairs to the wishing room where Everett "made his wish" and me and my Mom shed some tears. :)

We then sang Happy Birthday to Everett and ate some yummy cake. Everett had a HUGE piece with a fisherman on it.

At the Make A Wish house they have stars hanging from the ceiling in the foyer. Every child who has their wish granted gets to write on a special star and raise it up with all the others. Everett wrote his name on his star and had his Mom draw a picture of a fisherman on it. After he was done his Mom and Dad helped him raise his star and my Mom and I shed some more tears.

Then it was time to head outside for the big reveal. Everett is in love with his new trailer. His family has already used it, camping out in the driveway.

I'm so grateful for the wonderful people at the Make a Wish foundation who can make these sick little kids have a special day where they can forget about being sick and just laugh and have fun. I am also grateful that Everett is doing so well. Our family is continuing to pray for a full recovery for Everett and we have faith that it will happen.
I love you Evy! Enjoy your new trailer!

Sarah and the world...
I reverantly attest that God loves His children. Everett has been tenderly cradled in the palm of His hand. Blessings have drenched Everett and our entire family.
Thank you Evy for your suffering to bless others.

Oh my gosh I am in tears. What a neat thing, he is such a cute kid and he has such a great smile. I am so happy he is doing well. It sounds like they will have lots of fun in that trailer.

I love this! How fun for him and your whole family. I think my favorite part was seeing pictures of Harmony. She looks so happy to be watching Everett be normal for a day. The stress she has had to carry didn't show at all in those pictures. What a blessing for all of them.
