The Carnival came to town!

When I asked Luke what kind of party he wanted his only request was that it had popcorn and tickets, so we went for a carnival theme. Last week Luke delivered the invitations to his friends. He loved giving popcorn to all his friends.

Saturday was the big day! Bubba's birthday carnival came to town! There was enough popcorn, cotton candy, and hot dogs for all 20 of his guests so everyone was happy. They played games and won lots of tickets. They then visited the prize booth and picked out whatever they wanted. As you can see from the pictures, my family was a HUGE help at the party. Thanks to everyone for helping Luke's party so much fun!

Luke loves his Great Grandma Ivins. She comes to all of his birthday parties. She even went to the face painting booth and had a flower painted on her cheek. She is the greatest!

Speaking of great Grandma's, this is how my Mom showed up at Luke's party. We had no idea she was dressing up. Luke laughed everytime he saw her. She left her clown shoes here and everytime Libby sees them she points at them and says, "MaMa". My brother Jeff is great at making balloon animals so I talked him in to helping out at the party. He did great. Thanks Jeff, I owe you!

I hope you had a great party Luke, I love you!

Sarah, I know that the birthday parties you do for your family are done out of your endearing love for them and your love for creating extended family unity. You are doing a tremendous job! I am proud of you!

Now that my kids have their own kids I am convinced that parents cannot love their children "too much" and our greatest assets and treasures are our children.
I love you and each of your brothers and your sister.
