Spring Break 2009 Day 4

We woke up to a cloudy, windy Tuesday morning. Luckily we had planned on going to St. George that day for swimming and dinner. While we cleaned up breakfast my Dad took some of the older grandkids for a quick hike. They loved running free on all the red rock.

After the hike we loaded up the cars and headed to the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center. The kids spent a few hours on the water slide, jumping on the lily pads, and wrestling with their Dads.

The kids swam until they were starving. We dried off and headed over to a restaurant in St. George called Pirate Island. It's a great place for kids. You feel like you are eating at the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' restaurant in Disneyland. The kids played games and won prizes to their hearts content.

After dinner we drove back to our campsite and found our canopies completely ruined from the windstorm. We enjoyed some marshmallows and then went to bed early. By day 4 we were pretty worn out! Tuesday night was a long one for me. There was a huge windstorm and I couldn't sleep at all. Trevor slept through it, and luckily the kids did too. Wednesday morning was a cold one. Thank goodness we were planning on leaving that day. The kids hung out in the trailer while we picked up camp. By the time we left it was snowing in Snow Canyon. Perfect timing! Here's a picture of what we found at home.

We had so much fun on our Spring Break trip. There isn't anything better than spending time together as a family. Well maybe one thing, watching the Lakers beat the Jazz, but that's for another day. :)
