I took the kids to their 6 month checkup at the dentist last week. The dentist said it was time for Libby to start getting her teeth cleaned so I thought we would give it a try. It was NOT fun. She didn't want to have anything to do with the dentist or anyone touching her teeth. I wanted to get some pictures for her memory book but that didn't happen. I was too busy holding her down with the dental assistant so that the dentist could look into her mouth for 30 seconds. That's all she could handle. I did manage to get these pictures of the fit she continued to throw while her brothers got their teeth cleaned. She didn't calm down until we left the office. I'm hoping that things go better next time. Nothing seems to be easy with this girl, but we love her!
Of course as soon as we walked out of the office and she got to ride the mechanical horse she was all smiles.

I'm afraid that's going to happen when I take mine in..maybe because that's the kind of fit I throw. Ha ha ha ha..Not a big dentist fan. =)
My little boy was probabally 10 times worse than libby at his first appointment! those are the times i wish i could send their dad to do the things i know they hate!
Is that Doc Sorensen in Spanish Fork? We love that place! My kids didn't do so hot there either but he sure has a cute and fun office!
Kelsie still throws a fit when she has to go to the dentist and she is 13. I made her dad take her the last time she had to go. I told him "I fought with her last time, so you can have your turn holding her down this time."
LOL - When I took Lucy in for her check up Trevan was so scared they'd check his teeth that he wouldn't leave my side and wouldn't talk to or look at the dentist when he tried talking to him! It was so funny! I knew I couldn't press my luck with Trev yet - that is TOO funny! Love it!
Oh but look how cute she is! SHe can totally get away with it!
