Valentine's Day 2010

Valentine's Day this year was great! We kept it really low-key and that made it so much more enjoyable. We decided not to fight the crowds during the weekend and went out on Wednesday night instead. We went to the Jazz/Lakers game. We are HUGE Lakers fans so it was a fun game for us.
On Saturday night some of the adults in my family got together at my Grandma's for dinner. The Anderton family are friends of ours and were in town visited so they came to dinner as well. My Mom made a roast that was delicious. After dinner we relaxed and visited for a few hours. Thanks Mom & Dad for dinner, it was wonderful!

My Valentine and I
Isn't he handsome?!?!

On Valentine's day the kids woke up and found there gifts from Trevor and I. They loved their balloons and spent most of the morning running through the house with them. We also gave them some chocolates and new shirts.

The kids really enjoyed their balloons.

On Friday my amazing older brother Tony sent Libby and I roses. He is so nice to think of us. He actually sent them to all the girls in our family. Libby was in heaven and made us all call her Snow White for the rest of the day. I guess the rose made her feel like a princess. At first I didn't let her hold it but after she cried for a while I realized that Tony sent it to her and I'm sure he would want me to let her hold it if she wanted. She danced with it, kissed it, smelled it, slept with it, and even though the stem broke she continued to carry it around all day. Thanks Tony, you made Libby's Valentine's Day really special.

The kids helped their Dad make me a 'candygram' that was really cute. The boys HAD to have their picture taken by it. They were so proud. I gave Trevor some treats and a note. Like I said, we kept in really simple this year and it turned out to be one of my favorite Valentine's Days ever.

After church I made cinnamon rolls for everyone and shaped them like hearts. They were pretty good. Not as good as my Mother-in-laws but no one makes them like her. It was a yummy way to end a great Valentine's day!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day as well!

Those balloons are adorable! You always do the cutest things for the holiday's.
We were at the JAZZ/Lakers game too! We weren't rooting for anyone in particular, just a FREE night out without the kids!!
