Pumpkin Carving FHE

The Monday before Halloween we had a pumpkin carving Family Home Evening and invited some of our neighbors and friends to join in our fun. We set tables up in the garage and had fun carving, painting, and visiting.

This is the first year that D.J. and Luke actually carved most of their pumpkins all by themselves. It feels like they are growing up so fast.

The little ones had their very own table where they painted pumpkins.

Working hard!
Libby was hilarious painting her pumpkin. She would stand back, admire the pumpkin, paint a little more and then repeat it over and over. She had her hand behind her and her toes pointed each time. Everything she does is dramatic. :)

Here are some of our finished pumpkins.
After we were done we enjoyed Halloween treats. Our neighbors brought cookies, and brownies. The boys and I made witch fingers (string cheese & almonds) and monster mouths (apples and almonds).
We had a great night getting ready for Halloween!

Sarah, you're incredibly creative! What a fun idea hosting the party in the garage. Luv the treats too.
