Spring Break 2009 Day 2

Warning: Picture Overload Ahead

The sun rose bright and early on Easter morning. Luckily the Easter Bunny found us at the Cottontail Group Site (fitting for easter weekend, don't you think), or we would have had some very sad kiddos.

I love taking pictures of people after they just wake up. Isn't Libby's hair hilarious in the morning?!

I have to admit I missed the traditional Easter Sunday. Dressing the kids in matching Sunday clothes, going to church, and eating ham for dinner. I think next year we will plan our vacation after Easter. But we did have a wonderful day. We took a little hike together as a family and had a picnic on top of the beautiful red rocks. Everyone made it to the top well before Trevor, My Dad, Libby and I. Libby was adament that she walk all by herself. She loved climbing on the rocks.

Libby wore herself out.

After our hike we went back to camp for some cards, bubbles, and baseball. Yes, the picture doesn't lie, Tony is sitting down while he is pitching the ball. That's my kind of baseball!

Then it was time for our Easter Egg hunts. Every year my Mom does a egg hunt for the adults where the eggs are filled with money. We each get to find 2 eggs and hope we are the lucky one who gets the $10 bills. After the adult egg hunt the kids were let loose!

After the egg hunts we gathered around the campfire for a Easter message from my Dad. We talked about the Savior and the Resurrection and how grateful we are for both. We sang some primary songs and enjoyed being together as a family.

Jayanne and Tony then introduced us to a new game called 'Ipod Idol'. If you haven't played it you must. It was hilarious! First you pick a song on your ipod that you want to perform, you put your headphones on, turn it up LOUD so you can't hear anything, and then you are blindfolded. Now you sing it for the crowd. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Here are a few of our 'Idols', I would have put everyone on here but I didn't ask anyone first and I didn't want anyone to be mad at me. :) I don't think any of these guys will care, I hope...

Even sweet little Oakley wanted in on the fun. Isn't she an angel!

After the fun was over we headed back to our trailer for some quiet time, that quickly turned into this...
