St. Patrick's Day 2009

We had a great St. Patrick's Day at our house. While we were sleeping a sneaky little leprechaun snuck into our house and turned all the water in the toilets green! He also turned the kids bath water green when we weren't looking. He left a box of Lucky Charms for us to enjoy for breakfast but when we went to get our milk out of the fridge, yep, you guessed it, he turned it green too! We tried to catch him all day but he was too quick for us, maybe we can catch him next year. We already have a great plan. Luke is going to set up a leprechaun trap in the bathroom. :)

D.J. enjoyed a 'green' lunch and said he ate everything except the Jell-O. I knew I was stretching it putting it in there. He isn't a Jell-O lover.

After school we headed to the park to enjoy this amazing sunshine. Of course we played horse shoes, they are lucky you know!

Then we enjoyed a delicious Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner with lots of 'green' fixin's at my Mom's house. It was a great day. I LOVE holidays!

Now I'm off to decorate the kitchen for Luke's birthday tomorrow. It's going to be another great day, I'm sure!

Hon,
You guys couldn't catch that Leprechaun? What a bummer!

And WOW! with all the stuff you did during the day I'll bet you were pooped in the end!

You just need to sit down and relax more often.

I love the green water in the toilet. I wish my kids were still young and I would do that. I can't imagine what you do for April fool's day.

So fun! My kids were sick and so we will have to make up for the celebrations next year. What cute ideas though... I'll have to remember those.

Fun stuff! I used to do the green pancakes and colored milk, but it grossed one of my kids out and made her sick the rest of the day. It wasn't so fun to play fun mom after that. You're awesome though! I hope Luke has a great birthday!
