Summer has finally arrived! Here's how we celebrated the last day of school...
D.J. & Luke made t-shirts to wear the last day of school. The front of D.J.'s says 'Hello 4th grade' and the back says 'Bye Bye 3rd grade'. He had all his friends in his class sign it. Luke wanted me to write on his and then he decorated it. The front of his says '1st grade here I come!' and the back says 'So long Kindergarten'. They were so proud of their shirts. Libby and I walked to school to pick up the boys. When we walked home they found this sign Libby and I had made for them. I got the idea from Family Fun magazine. Libby had a lot of fun coloring on it.
I had the boys run through it to kick-off the Summer!

Of course Libby wanted a turn.
We went to McDonald's for lunch and played in the playground for awhile.
Last year we had a water party at the park on the last day of school and the boys wanted to do that again but the weather was being very unpredictable that week, as in SNOW on Monday, so we had to do something a little different. All Luke wanted to do was go to McDonald's so he was easy to please. D.J. wanted to have a sleepover with some friends from school. We don't do sleepovers unless it's family so I agreed to let him have a 'lateover'. He invited a few of his friends over from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm. It was a really big deal for him. Luke and Libby went and played at Grandma's for the night so it was just D.J. and his friends.

and games! They also played basketball, rockband on the Xbox, and jumped on the trampoline. D.J. had a great time!
It was the perfect beginning to the Summer!
